After 8 hours of inactivity, the Aspire S3 Series will enter Deep Sleep mode, from which it will resume in 6 seconds. The user can change this 8 hour default setting to 120 minutes, which is recommended for longer trips or periods of inactivity.

You don’t have to be Rich to be Thin
Sporting an ultra-thin design and an MSRP of just $899, the Acer Aspire S3-951 is light in your briefcase and light on your wallet. Measuring just half-an-inch at its thinnest and weighing a mere 2.983 pounds, it’s as easy to carry as a magazine or file folder. Its overall dimensions are 12.59 inches by 8.52-inches by .51 to.68-inches, making it one of the thinnest notebooks available on the market.
The liberal use of magnesium aluminum/alloy contributes to the Aspire S3’s rigid frame while also keeping the system as light as possible. The aerodynamic design includes a metallic silver gray hairline finish, and a fingerprint-free finish on the lid that feels as smooth as silk. The 13.3-inch ultra-thin HD LED display uses an open cell design, integrating the display’s covers with the glass panel. This allows the lid and bezel to form a strong aluminum frame around the screen, and reduces the bezel thickness by about 10 percent (over traditional displays), creating a super-slim silhouette that is still strong enough to protect the display.
A seamless and uncluttered chassis, only a card reader and headphone connector are located on the left and right side; all the other connectors are located in the back, keeping the side profiles clean and sleek.
For user convenience, the power and battery status indicators are located on the outside corner, allowing them to be viewed even when the lid is closed. In addition, the power button is located above the keyboard underneath the LCD, so it’s easy to reach but won’t be accidentally pressed when the notebook is picked up and moved. HP 635 LH416EA Notebook Review
With the series 635, HP laptops offer bargain for beginners. With prices in the area of the netbooks that offer 15.6-inch screen and optical drives for a much stronger material.
The books 635-series is based on AMDs Fusion platform (chipset A50M) with an AMD CPU-240-E and the AMD HD 6310 integrated GPU. Depending on the model, the processor is either a 1.5 GHz single-heart-(E-240) or a 1.6 GHz dual-core CPU (E-350). Other differences may exist in the RAM, hard drive size and type of operating system.
Our test sample, the LH416EA # ABD HP 635 is based on a E-240 CPU with 1.5 GHz speed, 320 GB hard drive, 2048 MB DDR-3 and 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium.
HP installed this equipment in a strong enough case that weighs 2.5 kilograms (5.5 pounds) including battery. A matte 15.6-inch 16:9 widescreen format sports a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. These bases are used for all models of 635 -.
The operating system will vary somewhat between different models or Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional or SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 is pre-installed. Prices start at 289 euros and 397 euros head. 635 # ABD HP LH416EA we tested (1.5 GHz single-core, 2 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive) costs about 350 euros. For our tests, we saw the street price around € 299.

The casings of the HP 635-are fairly standard for laptops with 15.6 inch screen, measures 247 x 376 x 32 mm (9.7 "x 14.8" x 1.26 "). The total weight of the laptop is 2500 grams (5.5 pounds), with the addition of a charger 240 grams (0.53 pounds). For colors, HP has opted for the black and copper, which gives the laptop a professional appearance.
These notebooks are made entirely of plastic. Their surfaces are deflected under the pressure quickly, and can be hidden in a deep almost everywhere. This can be seen with the lid, you can almost run through it, until something to block the transport.

Display
The HP 635-series entry-level use 15.6-inch laptop with a diagonal of 39.6 cm. They are LED backlit and have a matte surface that creates almost no reflection.
The LCD can display a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels with the usual 16:09. With VGA and HDMI interface, additional monitors can be connected. Through HDMI, a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels possible. Through the VGA port, the maximum is "only" 2048 x 1536 pixels.
The combined operation with internal and external display is possible, you can clone the contents of the internal display screen connected, or stretch the desktop across two screens.
We measured a value of 1.33 cd/m2 black for the screen, resulting in a contrast of 149:1. The colors on the HD screen displays rich and look good. For a professional, however, the color space insufficient. As the images resulting from the ICC, the color space display does not even begin to match the reference area of different colors (Apple / Adobe / sRGB). It works well, because no one would expect to see professional graphics work on this laptop.
A gloomy picture, however, revealed a "bad-smiley-effect" (the first two corners and the entire lower area of the screen is not only light, but in reality, a strong work in grayscale. Office, which mostly use a light background, this effect is truly remarkable. Dark Pictures or video material, this can be a bit annoying though.
Outside, scores and matte screen is readable in direct sunlight. We took pictures with the sun high in the zenith, but our test video was easy to discern on the screen.

Synchronization errors in the interfaces was not detected by our software DPC Latency Checker. As the display produced without measuring a red bar, so that no restrictions should be feared in the work audio / video.
We tested the performance of Maxon Cinebench CPU render, the R10 version (32/64 bit) and R11.5 (64-bit). Since the E-240 is a single-core processor, multi-core test was omitted. Game Performance

The total weight of the laptop is 2500 grams (5.5 pounds), with the addition of a charger 240 grams (0.53 pounds). For colors, HP has opted for the black and copper, which gives the laptop a professional appearance.
These notebooks are made entirely of plastic. Their surfaces are deflected under the pressure quickly, and can be hidden in a deep almost everywhere. This can be seen with the lid, you can almost run through it, until something to block the transport.

The LCD can display a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels with the usual 16:09. With VGA and HDMI interface, additional monitors can be connected. Through HDMI, a maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels possible. Through the VGA port, the maximum is "only" 2048 x 1536 pixels.
The combined operation with internal and external display is possible, you can clone the contents of the internal display screen connected, or stretch the desktop across two screens.
We measured a value of 1.33 cd/m2 black for the screen, resulting in a contrast of 149:1. The colors on the HD screen displays rich and look good. For a professional, however, the color space insufficient. As the images resulting from the ICC, the color space display does not even begin to match the reference area of different colors (Apple / Adobe / sRGB). It works well, because no one would expect to see professional graphics work on this laptop.
A gloomy picture, however, revealed a "bad-smiley-effect" (the first two corners and the entire lower area of the screen is not only light, but in reality, a strong work in grayscale. Apple IPad Wi Fi And 3G
In this review, I will focus on the characteristics differentiating the 3G model. For an in depth look at all the features and options IPAD see our original review Apple iPad. And for more information, see our opinion of the iPad the most important as iBooks (free) and iWork ($ 9.99).
The iPad 3G is available in three capacities, each tacking on $ 130 in the same Wi-Fi only version, $ 629 (16GB), $ 729 (32GB) and $ 829 (64GB). Once again, the iPad is in your heart, not a mobile device. Electronic Arts Site cracked Gamers Data Stolen

Electronic Arts has been admitted burglary and theft of data on its website. This incident followed a series of attacks on the gaming company.
As quoted by Reuters on Saturday (06/25/2011), Electronic Arts (EA) acknowledges the user information stolen from their site. This includes birth dates, phone numbers and addresses.
However, EA said no credit card data or social security numbers are stolen in the incident. Also not known who is responsible for this attack.
Genesis on EA following a string of attacks on the gaming company. Beginning with the attack on Sonys PlayStation Network, and then followed companies like Sega and Bethesda.
EAs homepage burglarized at BioWare server in Canada. The site is associated with the game Neverwinter Nights.
"Our investigations show information such as user names, encrypted passwords, email address, mailing address, full name, phone number, CD Keys (for games activation-red) and date of birth from the account on that server may have been exposed," said EA in site.
It is quite alarming from the burglary is when there are users who use a combination of usernames, passwords and / or the same email address on other sites. The information obtained might be used to break into that users account elsewhere.

Asus N75SF Notebook Review
When only the price taken into account, perhaps N75SF not seem particularly attractive. More than € 1,000 for a multimedia notebook than the average?
Once you begin to study the list of equipment, it soon becomes apparent why Asus is demanding a higher than average amount of money. In addition to a Blu-Ray (CD and DVD burning) and eight GB of RAM, the laptop has a capacity of 17 750-inch HDD, 1500 GB, respectively.
The graphics card is not bad - Nvidia GeForce GT 555m scratches only in the premium segment. Of course, a new model of Intel Sandy Bridge processor is used. He is two (Core i5-2410M/2430M) or quad-core (Core i7-2630QM/2670QM). The screen has a resolution of 1600x900 or 1920x1080 pixels either. N75SF seems a bit bulky when closed. Form is not able to affect anyone socks off. With the exception of the circle of metal, it seems that we are considered normal. It is also sensitive to the shiny cover, which shows fingerprints very easily.
The notebook looks much better when it opens. Many of the key elements of the silver seems to refresh. We especially liked rubber palm rest. Although the Asus uses mostly plastic, N75SF does not feel cheap in any way.
Except for the reader projects there is little reason to complain about the production, either. The case has a good overall stability. Only the battery area (above) and the openings of the fan (bottom) can be a bit depressed. As in many other devices, the cover is the biggest weak point. The screen can obviously distorted by both hands. Another task: A crack is heard when heavy touchpad is used with an abnormally high pressure.
Asus could also improve the hinges. First of all, do not do their work quietly, lifts and a second base station during opening hours. Despite the reflecting surface, the 17-inch laptop can also sometimes be used outside - thanks to its high brightness. However, outdoor use is not much fun after all, because the user is confronted with the thoughts of a typical anti-glare screen. A matte surface would have been at the expense of color saturation, but would have been much easier on the eyes. In general, the N75SF is mainly suitable for indoor use.

Performance
Processor: Intel Core i7-2630QM
In order to adequately equip the user for the future, Asus installed a quad core processor in most N75SF models. As our benchmarks show, the GeForce GT 555m often begin to stutter and Full HD resolution. Most of the details are not possible in graphic-intensive songs. The performance is adequate only for the level of average quality, in some cases. Instead, less demanding games like FIFA 12, can occur without a hitch with anti-aliasing.
Given the graphical output, we would consider to be perfect 1600x900 pixels. If the players can live with the reduction of resolution and detail where necessary, they will get a playmate correct anyway. Meanwhile, fans of AMD to a unit with its straight, GeForce 6750M, 6770M and 6850M.

System Noise
We were pleasantly surprised by the noise. The case fan is not necessarily quieter than other laptops in slow motion, but the 17-inch laptop is relatively quiet under load. Temperature
There is almost nothing to criticize on the basis of temperatures. The action gets hot during the game, but not exceeding 40 ° C (keyboard area) is still acceptable. Good: The wrist support does not exceed 30 ° C.

Asus announces the N75SF with a "unique sound" on its website. Battery Life
When Intel Graphics HD 3000 is in standby mode, power consumption remains within manageable limits: According to our metrics, 17-inch laptop uses only 20 watts.
